finding new roots, even in uncertain ground
Have you ever felt like there’s a part of you that longs for peace, but a lack of self-trust holds you back from living from that place?
Maybe you were part of a community that made you feel like essential parts of who you are were fundamentally wrong. Maybe you’ve been in relationships where you were often hurt, but somehow always blamed despite your best efforts and intentions. Or perhaps you grew up in a home where your worth seemed tied to how much you could show up for others.
Emotional and psychological abuse can come from those closest to us or from communities that promise acceptance but deliver judgment. Sometimes the harm is clear; other times, it’s so subtle it leaves you questioning everything, including yourself.
In recent years, the world has felt like an especially uncertain and hostile place for many, particularly those who have been marginalized. At Evergreen Counseling, we strive to offer a space where you can feel heard and understood—where your experiences are honored, and your voice matters.
Even in the midst of life’s cold and challenging seasons, there is a quiet promise of renewal. We are here to help you reconnect with yourself, unlearn harmful patterns, and discover your inner resilience and sense of empowerment.
about the owner
Caitlin Kiley, LPC, LMHC, EMDR Certified
Clinical Supervisor
I believe that therapy is about more than just talking through problems; it’s about finding a way to come home to yourself. I show up as a real person in our work together because I know the courage it takes to open up about the parts of yourself that feel wounded or stuck. I’ve worked with many people who’ve felt lost in their own stories, disconnected from their sense of self after years of emotional or psychological abuse, or burdened by carrying the weight of others’ needs and expectations.
For those who have been told they’re “too much” or “not enough,” I aim to create a space where you can begin to feel grounded in your own reality and learn to trust your own voice again. Whether you’ve been shaped by challenging relationships, oppressive communities, or confusing messages about your identity, my goal is to support you in reclaiming your personal power and finding a sense of clarity and peace.
You deserve a space where you can be seen and heard without judgment—where you can unlearn what no longer serves you and explore new ways of being and thinking.
I invite you to reach out if this resonates with you. Therapy can be daunting, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I’m here to help you reconnect with yourself, find your footing, and feel a little more at home in your own life.
